The cubic desktop app puts your review queue in the menu bar or system tray, one click away from any app. It also sends a notification when cubic finds issues on one of your PRs. Reviews work the same as in the browser, with grouped changes, AI chat, and GitHub sync.

Download the app at cubic.dev/download. Choose the version for your computer:
  • macOS: Apple Silicon or Intel.
  • Windows: x64 installer.
  • Linux: AppImage.
Open the app and sign in with your GitHub account.

Check your review queue

On macOS and Windows, click the cubic icon in the menu bar or system tray. The queue lists PRs that need your review, PRs returned to you, and your PRs that are approved or waiting on reviewers. PRs that need your review have an Approve button. Click a PR to open it in the app. The app icon shows how many PRs need your review.

Get notified about issues

When cubic finds issues on one of your PRs, the app shows a notification. If auto-fix is on for that PR, auto-fix handles the issues instead, and the app doesn’t notify you.

Open a PR from the browser

On a PR in cubic, choose Open in Desktop from the PR actions menu (⋯) to continue in the app. See Review a pull request for the full workflow. Keyboard shortcuts covers navigation.
